Our Mission and Impact

KFTO-LP is serving the City of Marina and the surrounding Monterey Bay area communities through educational programming, diverse local content, music, local and national news, traffic and emergency alerts, enhancing community connections.

The Marina Foundation was granted a Construction Permit to build the station on February 18, 2025.  On, March 3, 2025, the FCC granted The Marina Foundation a license to broadcast at 106.1 FM, as KFTO-LP.

KFTO-LP, is a listener supported, non-commercial radio station, owned by the Marina Foundation, a 501 (c3) non-profit organization.  We serve and support the educational and music needs of the Central Coast area and communities in which our signal is received.  We rely on donations and underwriting announcements from our listeners and community to meet our operational costs.
